The Faculty of Philology participates in the Erasmus Mundus Programme with the HERMES project (An acronym for: Humanities Education Revitalized via Mundus ExperienceS).

The project, involving a consortium of 15 universities in 11 countries) with a budget of 2,299,375.00 € provides grants for student and staff mobility from Third Countries (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine) to European Union countries (Greece, Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Sweden).

It is coordinated by the University of Athens, specifically Prof. Amalia Moser of the Faculty of Philology, with the University of Tbilisi as co-coordinator.
