Research interests

  • Theoretical linguistics: Syntax, morphology, morphosyntax and interfaces with phonology
  • Grammatical description of languages with emphasis on morphology and syntax
  • Comparative linguistics and typology: syntactic and morphological structures, typology of the relationship between syntax, morphology and phonology
  • Historical linguistics: typology and explanation of language change, history of Greek with emphasis on the Hellenistic-Roman Koine and the Byzantine and Post-Byzantine periods
  • Dialectology: Documentation and description of Greek dialectal varieties, morphology and syntax of Asia Minor Greek dialects
  • Language contact: Structural and historical aspects
